Kevin brings with him a wealth of communications and media experience made evident by his latest contribution of live streaming the Fall conference and expo from Watkins Glen. He is well positioned to transition from his current role on the NYSPTA Board to the Executive Board.

On the Executive Board, Kevin will join Patrick Phillips from Allpro Parking who was previously named NYSPTA’s next President as well as returning E-Board members, Treasurer Matthew Reitmeier, and Secretary Johnna Frosini.

Board of Directors Results Announced

We are happy to inform our membership that Nan Chen: THA Consulting, Kacey Siskind: HONK, and Chantel Cabrera: Pace University have been elected and accepted to serve on the NYSPTA Board of Directors. Their term will begin January 1st, 2022 and run through December 31st, 2023.

We would also like to thank the outgoing NYSPTA BOD, Shawn Brown: Town of North Hempstead, Lex Blum: ParkMobile, and Jim Zullo: THA Consulting. They have all played a critical role in supporting and guiding the vision of the Association the last several years. Being a volunteer is no easy task and they performed admirably.

Press Release: NYC DCAS

On Wednesday, January 27th, NYC Fleet announced the installation of their first 58 electric vehicle (EV) fast chargers.  DCAS plans to complete at least 100 by summer 2021.  These fast EV chargers will allow for city fleet vehicles to charge in a fraction of the time it previously would take and will facilitate the expansion of electric charging to trucks and more vehicle types.  In Feb. 2020, Mayor de Blasio announced that NYC Fleet will go all electric by 2040.  These new EV fast chargers are a critical step to that goal.

DCAS is also opening up two of the locations, at Randalls Island in Manhattan, and Midland Beach in Staten Island, to general public access.
